On a somewhat random note: most may not know this, but I am a strict vegan and have been for years. I’ve had some involvement in animal rights issues, too. Anyway, I recently found this article to be useful in my understanding of where Islam stands on the topic.

I’m not proselytizing about my veganism: it’s an entirely personal choice, one I only mention to illustrate one of the many reasons I’d be interested in the above piece. More important about this piece: it’s a great reminder as to the beauty and power of tawheed as related specifically to creation.
